DESCRIPTION:Clubs usually welcome non-members to take part in their events\, making it easy for everyone to get involved. Click here to find a full list of registered events happening on the day\, and a handy map to help you find the events near you. \nHow to Get Involved\nVehicle owners across the UK can take part in various ways. \nJoin a Club Run\nLots of classic car and historic vehicle clubs arrange special Drive It Day runs to places of interest. These are often open to non-members\, making it easy for anyone to join in. \nVisit a Historic Venue That is Participating\nMany museums and other venues across the country host Drive It Day events\, welcoming visitors to come along and take part. \nTake Your Vehicle for a Drive\nFor those who prefer to drive solo or in small groups\, you can simply take your vehicle out for a drive on the day\, and display a Drive It Day plate to help spread awareness of the occasion. \nNational Drive It Day was created by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs in 2005.  It is the occasion when historic vehicle enthusiasts and the public at large have the opportunity to celebrate the One Thousand Mile Trial organised in 1900 to prove the viability of the new invention\, the motor vehicle. It’s also a chance to raise awareness and support amongst the public for the historic vehicle movement and keeping transport heritage on UK roads. \nPlease take a moment to view these two videos\, one of them recorded by Childline® counsellors. \n \n
